Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return. We're a group of five adults with different fitness levels. The Longji Rice Terraces walk. Is there a shorter route for the ones who can't climb too many steps?
Answered by intotravelchina | May 06,2026 10:20
Yes. Ping'an village has a gentle stone path that winds horizontally across the middle of the terraces with minimal elevation change. The more strenuous climb goes up to the Nine Dragons viewpoint. Your guide can split the group, taking some along the flat route and others up to the higher viewpoint, meeting back at the village for lunch.

My auntie did the flat path while the younger ones climbed. She walked slowly, took photos, and reached the same lunch spot before us. There are sedan chair carriers also if anyone really cannot manage, but the gentle path was enough for her.

Itinerário do Cruzeiro no Rio Li
O cruzeiro do Rio Li vai de Guilin até Yangshuo. As malas vão no barco com a gente ou a agência leva de carro e a gente encontra elas no hotel em Yangshuo?
Answered by intotravelchina | May 06,2026 10:11
Your luggage goes by road with our driver and meets you at your Yangshuo hotel. You only need a small daypack on the boat. This is standard practice on Li River cruises and means you board with just a camera and a jacket.

Answered by intotravelchina | May 06,2026 10:11
April is the sweet spot. Terraces fill with water from late March through mid-May. By mid-April the water surface reflects the sky and the first green shoots are just appearing. Morning light on the flooded terraces is the classic shot. We can arrange an overnight at Ping'an village so you're up there at dawn.

War Mitte April da. Die Felder waren geflutet und am Morgen spiegelte sich der Himmel. Ich stand um sechs oben, kein Mensch außer einer alten Frau mit Wasserbüffel. Das Bild hab ich immer noch als Hintergrund.
