Q & A

This is a two-day Hangzhou tour with quite a few stops. Will we feel rushed, and what should we not miss?
The two days are paced to feel full, not hurried. Day one is the classic "must-see" Hangzhou — West Lake, Lingyin Temple and the tea village — while day two is a quieter walk through the old city, the Grand Canal and its museums. Together they give you a well-rounded picture of the city. The West Lake cruise and the Grand Canal boat ride are the two moments people remember most, so we always keep those relaxed. If you'd like to squeeze in a handicraft session at the Umbrella Museum, just tell your guide and we'll fit it in where time allows.
When is the best time to visit Hangzhou, and what should I pack for these two days?
Hangzhou is lovely in every season, but spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the most comfortable, with mild days and the clearest views over West Lake. Summer is warm and humid with afternoon showers, and winter is cool with fewer crowds. For a two-day trip, pack comfortable walking shoes, a light layer you can add or remove, an umbrella, and sunscreen. We'll include a season-specific packing note with your confirmation so you're set.
We'll visit Lingyin Temple. Is there a dress code or etiquette we should follow?
Lingyin is a living temple, so a few gentle gestures make the visit more respectful. Please wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees, and remove hats inside the halls. Keep your voice low, and avoid touching statues or photographing the Buddha images. Since much of day two is spent walking through museums and old streets, comfortable shoes matter too. Your guide will remind you at each stop.
Which meals are included in this tour, and can you recommend somewhere to try local food? Do you accommodate vegetarians, halal diets, or allergies?
Breakfast is included at your hotel on your second morning. For the other meals, we're happy to point you to good local restaurants at reasonable prices — and if you'd like an authentic taste of Hangzhou, Hefang Street is a perfect place for a casual bite of local snacks. Just let us know in advance if anyone in your party is vegetarian, follows a halal diet, or has a food allergy, and we'll make sure the kitchens are informed and every meal is handled with care.
Are the entrance tickets and the two boat cruises included in the price? What about the optional handicraft activities?
Yes. Admission to the listed attractions, plus the West Lake cruise and the Grand Canal sightseeing boat, are all included in your package, so there are no surprise charges at the gate. Activities marked as optional — such as the bamboo weaving or pottery session at the Umbrella Museum — come at a small extra cost, and we'll always confirm with you before charging anything.
