Q & A

Can I use my credit card and access Google Maps in these cities?
Major hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but you’ll need Alipay or WeChat Pay for most everyday purchases, and you must install a VPN before arrival because Google Maps and Western social apps are blocked in China.
Do people speak English in Hangzhou and Wuzhen?
English is limited outside major tourist hotels, so download a translation app with offline Chinese and learn a few basic phrases—your tour guide will handle all logistics.
What should I know about staying overnight in Wuzhen?
The ancient town has cobblestone streets and bridges with no vehicle access, so pack a small overnight bag you can carry yourself, and expect a magical evening atmosphere with fewer crowds after day‑trippers leave.
