White Horse Temple--Luoyang Museum--Luoyi Ancient City

None

In the early morning, visit the White Horse Temple, known as the "First Ancient Temple in China" and the "Origin and Ancestral Court of Buddhism in China". It was first built in the 11th year of Yongping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (68 AD) and was the first official Buddhist temple constructed after Buddhism was introduced into China. Precious lacquered statues made by the Jiazhu technique in the Yuan Dynasty, Buddhist halls in Indian style, and temple complexes in Thai and Burmese styles are preserved here, making it worthy of being called an "International Buddhist Culture Expo Park".
Then head to the Luoyang Museum. It is a cultural hall of the ancient capital with a history of thirteen dynasties. There are more than 15,000 cultural relics in its collection, among which the bronzes of the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, pottery figurines of the Han and Tang Dynasties, Tang tri-colored glazed pottery and stone carvings are the most distinctive.
In the evening, visit the Luoyi Ancient City. The architectural style of the Tang and Song Dynasties has been restored here, integrating elements such as the display of intangible cultural heritage, the experience of wearing Hanfu, delicious food and entertainment. It has become a popular check-in place for night tours in Luoyang. At night, with the pagoda as the background, a light show is staged, presenting a holographic projection performance that showcases the thousand-year history of Luoyang.

Shaolin Temple--Longmen Grottoes

4-star Hotel

Breakfast

After breakfast, you will head to the Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City. It is the ancestral court of Chinese Chan Buddhism and the birthplace of Shaolin martial arts, and has long been known as the "Number One Temple under Heaven". The Indian eminent monk Bodhidharma meditated facing the wall here for nine years and founded Chinese Chan Buddhism, thus making the Shaolin Temple the ancestral court of Chan Buddhism. Here, you can learn Chinese kung fu from the warrior monks (for a fee).
In the afternoon, visit the Longmen Grottoes, a world cultural heritage site. The Longmen Grottoes are widely recognized as the most outstanding among China's four major grottoes and house the largest and most outstanding Chinese artworks since the late Northern Wei Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty (316 - 907 AD). Together with the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and the Yungang Grottoes in Datong, they are called the three major grottoes in China.
After the tour, you will be sent to the station or the airport according to your arrangements, ending this pleasant journey.
