Q & A

Are entrance fees to all listed attractions covered? What about the cable car at the Great Wall and rickshaw ride in the hutongs?
Entry to the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Mutianyu Great Wall, Mulan Paddock, Saihanba, Puning Temple, Putuo Zongcheng Temple, and Chengde Mountain Resort are all included. The Great Wall cable car and the hutong rickshaw ride are also included. Horse riding and the grassland off-road vehicle on Days 4–5 are optional extras; your guide will explain costs clearly.
Day 3 includes lunch (dumpling making). What about other days? Can we add a full meal plan?
Day 3 includes a hands-on dumpling-making lunch in the hutongs. Other days include breakfast only, leaving you free to explore local flavors. We can arrange additional lunches and dinners at well-reviewed restaurants—just tell us dietary needs at booking.
Is the grassland off-road vehicle on Day 5 safe? Can children join?
Yes, it’s a guided activity with professional drivers and well-maintained vehicles. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. If anyone prefers a gentler experience, we can arrange a shorter route or skip it entirely.
Can we adjust the itinerary? For example, skip the Summer Palace or spend more time on the Great Wall?
Absolutely. This is a private tour, so we can adapt to your interests. If you’d rather skip a site or spend extra time at a favorite spot, just let your guide know. We’ll reshape the day for you.
Is the Peking duck dinner at Quanjude on Day 2 included or just a recommendation?
It’s a recommendation, not included in the package. Your guide can help you reserve a table and arrange transport, but the meal cost is on your own. We can also pre-book it as part of a meal plan if you prefer.
Is the rickshaw ride through the hutongs a short tour? Do we need to tip the driver?
It’s a relaxed ride of about 30–40 minutes through traditional alleyways, included in your package. Tipping is not required in China, but if you feel the service was exceptional, a small tip is always appreciated—never expected.
Can we choose a different Great Wall section, like Badaling instead of Mutianyu?
Yes, but we recommend Mutianyu for its beautiful scenery and fewer crowds. If you prefer Badaling or another section, we can adjust—just let us know at booking. The cable car arrangement remains similar.
