After breakfast, transfer to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. As of late 2024, it houses 244 pandas – the world's largest captive-bred population with excellent genetic diversity and health.

What time should I go to the Panda Base to actually see active pandas?
Go as early as possible—7:30 AM to 10:00 AM is the prime window when pandas are eating, climbing, and playing. After 9 AM they get sleepy, and by noon most are indoors resting.
Can I use Alipay/WeChat Pay, or do I need cash?
Alipay and WeChat Pay work everywhere once linked to an international card. However, Luodai’s small street vendors often prefer cash—keeping some small RMB notes is a smart backup. Your tour includes meals and entry fees, so you’ll mainly need spending money for snacks and souvenirs.
