 Morning:

Dongjiao Memory (take the Metro Line 8): A cultural and creative industrial park transformed from an old industrial plant. Music, art, and photography are all here. Chengdu graffiti wall, green train Dongfanghong, and various trendy brand stores are available for you to wander around.

Tips: You can go earlier, the park is large, and you can take your time to stroll around and take photos. There is also a cafe in the park where you can rest.

The following are the delicacies that you should not miss: hot pot noodles, Hainan roasted chicken, and Luo Er hot pot are recommended.

Tips:There are a lot of people, please be careful. Eat a reasonable diet, eat less and more.Do not drink cold drinks immediately after eating spicy food

 Afternoon:

Mengxiang Planet 107 Cultural and Creative Park (2km, 30 minutes walk): A retro block similar to Dongjiao Memory, but with fewer people. The park is home to many unique shops, from quirky bookstores and independent cafés to creative workshops filled with artistic flair. Here, you can find one-of-a-kind souvenirs or simply enjoy a peaceful afternoon tea.

Erxianqiao Park (1.2km, 21 minutes walk): The location of the retro locomotive, and there are art exhibitions on the train from time to time, which is very suitable for taking photos and sharing. For dinner, you can choose a local restaurant in nearby, maybe it makes you surprise.

Can I buy unique Chengdu-themed souvenirs here?

Definitely! Look for hand-painted Sichuan opera masks or mini panda sculptures at "Chengdu Craft Collective."
Asked by Sandy Pullan from Auroralia | July 28,2025 13:11
What’s the best photo spot at Erxianqiao Park? I want a cool shot for Instagram.
Answered by intotravelchina | July 28,2025 14:49
Arrive by 4:30 PM in summer or 3:00 PM in winter for soft, warm lighting.
Asked by Nick Belle from Singapore | July 28,2025 11:56
How spicy is the "Luo Er hot pot" at Jianshe Road? I love spice but don’t want to cry!
Answered by intotravelchina | July 28,2025 14:56
It’s spicy but flavorful—think numbing Sichuan peppercorns with chili heat. You can ask for "mild" and they’ll tone it down. It’s worth trying—thick slices of pork belly and veggies simmered in the broth are delicious!
