After breakfast, we will reach the Tiananmen Square, one of the largest city squares in the world. Standing in the North Square, you can look up at the Tiananmen Tower, where Chairman Mao proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Passing through Tiananmen Square, you will step into the Forbidden City, which is the largest and best-preserved palace in the world. Once the imperial palace of the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. It is a reflection of the highest architecture level in ancient China.
Next, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, a sacred site used in ancient times to worship the heavens and offer prayers for a bountiful harvest. Nowadays, it has become a lively place where locals perform traditional activities such as Tai Chi, dancing, kite flying and calligraphy. Stroll among the halls of the Temple of Heaven and feel the solemnity and mystery of ancient royalty.
After that, we will make a short trip to Jingshan Park, where you will have a panoramic view of the entire Forbidden City.
Next, we will visit the Hutongs and take a rickshaw ride through Beijing's hutongs. These alleys, made up of courtyards, epitomize life in old Beijing.

Is visiting five sites in one day too tiring?
The private car cuts travel time, so it’s a full but well-paced day. Jingshan Park is just a quick photo stop, and the rickshaw ride lets you rest. If you feel tired, we can skip or shorten any stop—your guide will adjust on the spot.
How much walking is there? Is it okay for seniors or young children?
The Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven involve steady walking but at your pace. Jingshan Park has steps but is optional. The rickshaw ride offers a comfortable break. We’ll adjust the rhythm for any age.
Can we store our luggage in the car during the tour if we check out that day?
Absolutely. Your luggage stays in the private car while you sightsee. The driver will keep it safe, and we’ll take you directly to your next hotel or the airport afterward.
Do we have the same private car and English-speaking guide all day?
Yes, a private air-conditioned vehicle and professional driver are exclusively yours from morning to evening. Your English-speaking guide will accompany you throughout, handling all logistics.
How long is the rickshaw ride and what will we see?
It’s about 30–40 minutes winding through the hutongs near Houhai or Shichahai. You’ll see traditional courtyard homes and experience old Beijing’s daily life at a relaxed pace.
What happens if it rains unexpectedly?
The tour runs as normal. We’ll prioritize indoor-heavy areas first and provide umbrellas. The Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven are still beautiful in the rain, and the car keeps you dry between stops.
Can we book an evening show or a Peking duck dinner through you?
Certainly. We can reserve tickets for a Peking opera, kung fu show, or acrobatics, and book a table at Quanjude for roast duck. Your guide will help with all arrangements.
Where is the best spot to take a panoramic photo of the Forbidden City?
Jingshan Park’s hilltop pavilion offers the classic overhead view. Inside the Forbidden City, your guide will take you to quieter corners for stunning, people-free shots.
