More Information

Is Premier Access worth the extra cost, or can I manage with a standard ticket?

If you're visiting on a weekday outside of Chinese holidays, a standard ticket can work — queues for popular rides like TRON and Zootopia: Hot Pursuit are usually 30–60 minutes. But on weekends, school holidays, or peak seasons, wait times can exceed 90 minutes per ride. Premier Access lets you skip the main queue on 8 of the park's most popular attractions, saving you roughly 4–6 hours of standing in line over the course of the day. If your time in Shanghai is limited, it's well worth the upgrade.

I don't speak Chinese — will I be able to enjoy the rides and shows?

Yes, though you'll want to set expectations. Ride safety instructions and pre-show videos are primarily in Chinese, but the rides themselves (like TRON, Pirates of the Caribbean, Soaring Over the Horizon) are visual experiences that don't require language comprehension. The stage shows and parades are in Chinese, but the music, character interactions, and fireworks are universally enjoyable. Shanghai Disneyland is designed for international visitors too — signs and menus are bilingual (Chinese and English), and most Cast Members speak basic English.

What are the must-do rides? Which ones have the longest queues?

The three rides with the longest queues (and the ones where Premier Access saves you the most time) are Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, TRON Lightcycle Power Run, and Soaring Over the Horizon. These often hit 90–120 minutes on busy days. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure is widely considered the best ride in the park — don't skip it. Roaring Rapids and Peter Pan's Flight also draw long lines. If you have Premier Access for all 8, prioritize Zootopia and TRON first, then work through the rest at your own pace.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
