Q & A

Q1: Do I need to book Yu Garden tickets in advance, and what are the opening hours?
Yu Garden is open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM (last entry at 4:00 PM). Peak season (April–June, September–November) tickets are 40 RMB; off-season (July–August, December–March) are 30 RMB. On-site ticket purchase with your passport is usually available, but booking ahead is recommended during holidays and weekends.
Q2: How much does the Huangpu River cruise cost, and what time does it run?
The cruise operates daily from 11:00 AM to 9:45 PM. Tickets are sold separately from the Oriental Pearl Tower entry. Boarding is at the pier near the tower. Evening cruises (after 7:00 PM) are the most popular for city light views. Your guide will arrange the tickets as part of the tour.
Q3: Is the Qingyuan Gulong Gorge glass bridge suitable for people with a fear of heights?
It depends on your tolerance. The Yuntian Glass Bridge is 1,314 meters long and suspended over roaring waterfalls. The full experience package (rafting + glass bridge) is around 198 RMB. If you‘re uncomfortable, you can stay on the solid sections or skip it entirely – the surrounding gorge scenery is still worth seeing. The glass bridge is part of the Qingyuan day tour.
