Q & A

Q1: Do I need to book tickets in advance for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and what‘s the cost?
Yes. The park uses a real-name reservation system linked to your passport. The standard ticket is around 225–236 RMB and is valid for 4 consecutive days with unlimited entries. Your guide will handle bookings, but you must carry your physical passport for entry and the facial recognition scan.
Q2: What‘s the Qixing Mountain Via Ferrata – how difficult is it, and who can do it?
It’s a cliff-climbing route with steel cables, suspension bridges, and vertical ladders at about 1,500 meters high. The full route takes 3–4 hours. Two difficulty levels are offered – the harder route is roughly twice as demanding. Age restriction: 16–55. Not recommended for those with heart conditions or fear of heights. Cost is around 580 RMB including safety gear.
Q3: What‘s the best time to see the train pass through the building at Liziba Station?
The viewing platform is free and open all day. Best times: morning before 9:00 AM (fewer crowds) or late afternoon for golden light. Weekend evenings can be very crowded. Take Metro Line 2 to Liziba Station, Exit 1.
Q8: What‘s the best time to see the sunset at Kennedy Town?
Sunset is typically between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM, depending on the season. Arrive about one hour before sunset to capture the full transition from daylight to dusk. The viewing area is free and open 24 hours. The basketball court near Kennedy Town Station Exit C is a popular photo spot.
