  • Tiananmen Square -- Forbidden City -- Summer Palace
  • 4+ star hotels

  • Breakfast

Begin your day at Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square (765 × 282 meters) and a UNESCO-listed segment of Beijing’s Central Axis. This iconic site has witnessed pivotal moments in Chinese history, from the Ming Dynasty’s establishment in 1420 to the 1949 founding ceremony of the People’s Republic of China. Explore the Monument to the People’s Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, each symbolizing China’s political and cultural legacy. The square’s design, enlarged fourfold in the 1950s, reflects its role as a stage for national ceremonies and protests.

Next, step into the Forbidden City, a 600-year-old imperial palace complex that served as the residence of 24 Ming and Qing emperors. This UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases traditional Chinese architecture, blending cosmological principles, feng shui, and hierarchical design. The complex’s 980 surviving buildings, including the Hall of Supreme Harmony with its ten-ridge roof, exemplify imperial grandeur. Wander through the Outer Court, where emperors held court, and the Inner Court, where they resided. The Palace Museum, housing over 1.8 million artifacts, offers insight into royal life, from intricate jade carvings to ceremonial robes.

After lunch, escape to the Summer Palace, a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. This 297-hectare park combines Kunming Lake’s natural beauty with human-made wonders like the Longevity Hill, Marble Boat, and the iconic Long Corridor adorned with 14,000 paintings. Built in 1750 under Emperor Qianlong and reconstructed in 1886 by Empress Dowager Cixi, the palace blends imperial leisure with spiritual harmony. Stroll through the Suzhou Street market, explore the Buddhist Wenchang Gallery, and admire the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity. The site’s UNESCO designation highlights its role in influencing global horticulture and landscape design.

To enhance your experience, wear comfortable shoes for extensive walking, and visit early to avoid crowds. Sample local snacks like Peking duck at nearby Quanjude or Siji Minfu, where crispy skin and tender meat create a culinary masterpiece.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
