Q & A

Are entrance fees to all mentioned attractions included? What about the West Lake cruise, Lingyin Temple, and tea activities?
Entry tickets to Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai World Financial Center, West Lake cruise (45 min), Feilai Peak, Lingyin Temple, Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Suzhou Museum, Tongli Water Town, Jade Buddha Temple, and Tianzifang are all included. The tea picking and tasting at Meijiawu is optional and paid on-site. The musical fountain show is free. "Lasting Memories of Hangzhou" is optional and requires an extra ticket—your guide will help if you're interested.
Lunch and dinner are not listed. Can we add a full meal plan? Any vegetarian or halal options?
Yes. We leave lunch and dinner free so you can explore local dishes like Hangzhou's Dongpo pork or Suzhou's squirrel fish. If you prefer, we can pre-book a full meal plan at well-reviewed restaurants. Just share dietary needs—vegetarian, halal, allergies—and we’ll make the arrangements.
Can we add an extra bed or upgrade to a 5-star hotel in any city?
Most 4-star hotels we use can provide an extra bed for a supplement. Upgrading to a 5-star property is possible in Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou with advance notice. We'll check availability and quote the price difference, and we'll always be honest about what each city offers.
Day 4 includes Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory. Is this a shopping stop?
It is a cultural visit to see how silk is made from silkworm to fabric, not a forced shopping stop. You'll watch the process and may purchase items if you wish—completely optional. There's no pressure. If you'd rather skip it and have more time in the gardens, just tell your guide.
How physically demanding is this itinerary? Is it okay for older parents or young kids?
It's quite gentle. Most days involve city walking on flat ground. Tiger Hill has some steps but is manageable at a slow pace. West Lake has a boat ride. Tongli and Shantang Street are easy strolling. We can always adjust the pace and shorten walks if needed.
How do we handle luggage on train days? Do we drag suitcases around?
Your private driver helps with loading and unloading at every station. On the train, luggage racks are available. You only manage your bag when boarding and alighting—no long carries. Between stations, the car handles the rest.
The West Lake cruise lasts 45 minutes. Is that enough? Can we take a longer one?
The 45-minute cruise gives a beautiful overview of the lake's main sights, and it's included in your package. If you'd like a longer or different boat ride, your guide can help arrange it at an extra cost. Simply walking along the shore afterward is also lovely.
After the tour ends on Day 6, can you drop us at a different location—like a friend's place or another hotel?
Yes, we're happy to drop you at any central Shanghai address after the tour instead of the airport or train station, as long as you let us know in advance. Just provide the address, and we'll adjust the transfer accordingly.
