As you take the plane to Harbin, your Northeast ice and snow tour officially kicked off. We have been waiting here, with a warm smile to welcome your arrival. (If you have already arrived in Harbin and checked into your hotel, we will be waiting for you at the hotel, ready to take you to start an exciting trip.)

After meeting you, we will set off to the Snow Country, after arriving at the Snow Country, the red lanterns on the snowy street and the thick snow, creating a strong festive atmosphere. You can stroll along the Xueyun Street and feel the unique tranquility and beauty.

In the evening, not only the enthusiastic performance of Northeast Yangge Dance is waiting for you, the cheerful drum beats and enthusiastic dances will make you feel the simplicity and enthusiasm from the folk. There is also a unique down jacket bungee jumping waiting for you to participate in the rhythm of the music to release themselves, enjoy the carnival and freedom in the snow and ice.

Day 2: Harbin&Departure

After breakfast the next day, we will embark on a hiking journey through the Ice and Snow Gallery. This is a journey of courage and perseverance, you will cross the vast forest sea and walk through the soft snow plains, leaving deep footprints at every step. The scenery along the way is breathtaking, as if a flowing picture scroll is unfolding in front of your eyes.

After about an hour, we arrive at the Snow Park, where more fun about snow and ice awaits you.

Afterwards, we return to downtown Harbin, and as the sun sets, your tour comes to an end. Depending on your needs, we will arrange a private car to take you back to your hotel, so that you can end this full and wonderful day in a cozy and comfortable environment; or directly to the airport, for a successful conclusion to your journey. Whichever way you choose, we will be happy to provide you with thoughtful services to ensure that your journey is pleasant and unforgettable.

How far is Snow Country from Harbin? How long does the private car take?

Snow Country is about 280 km from Harbin, and the drive usually takes 4.5–5.5 hours, depending on road conditions. The private car is warm and comfortable, and we'll stop for restroom breaks or a quick snack along the way.

What are the accommodations like in Snow Country? Are they really 4-star?

Snow Country has limited large hotels, so we use the best available local guesthouses or boutique hotels with heating and private bathrooms. They're clean and warm but simpler than city 4-star hotels. In Harbin, we use standard 4-star hotels. We'll confirm the exact property before your trip.

Is the Ice and Snow Gallery hike difficult? Can older parents or young children manage it?

The hike is about 1 hour on soft snow through forest and snowfields. It's moderate but doable for most people. For older guests or small children, we can shorten the route or skip it and drive directly to Snow Park. Your guide will adjust the plan to your family's comfort.

Is the Northeast Yangge Dance performance included? When does it take place?

The Northeast Yangge Dance performance in Snow Country is included in your evening. It usually takes place after dinner, with cheerful drum beats and lively folk dances. It's a warm, authentic local experience.

What's the weather like in Snow Country and Harbin? What should we wear?

Snow Country is usually colder than Harbin, often below -20°C at night. You'll need thermal underwear, a heavy down jacket, snow boots, a warm hat, scarf, and gloves. Hand warmers are helpful. We'll send a detailed packing list before your trip.

Is this 2-day itinerary suitable for children and older family members?

Most of the trip is gentle—strolling snowy streets and enjoying performances. The Ice and Snow Gallery hike is the most active part, but we can adapt it or skip it for older guests. Children usually love the snow and the festive atmosphere. Your guide will tailor the pace.

What time does the tour end on Day 2? Can we book an evening flight or train?

We usually return to downtown Harbin around 4:00–5:00 PM. For an evening departure, we recommend a flight after 8:00 PM or a train after 7:30 PM. If your schedule is earlier, we can adjust the day or skip the hike to leave earlier.
