As an important street in the old city, Guangzhou's Renmin Road is not only a carrier of the city's historical memories but also hides many authentic delicacies. Today, I’ve picked the three must-try foods near Renmin Road to let you experience the most authentic taste of Guangzhou!

1. Traditional Lie Foom Restaurant

It is at the intersection of Renmin North Road and Dongfeng Road, and it's one of the locals' favorite breakfast spots. It might not look impressive, but the flavors are absolutely amazing. The Lie Foom are smooth and paired with the restaurant ’s special chili sauce, bringing a spicy and appetizing kick—it's a perfect choice to experience traditional Cantonese snacks. It's best to visit in the morning and feel how the locals start their day.

2. Bu La rice rolls

There's a small shop on Renmin Middle Road called "Bulunla Rice Rolls," and their rice rolls are truly a masterpiece. The rice roll skin is paper-thin yet super chewy, and you can choose fillings like fresh shrimp, beef, or char siu. Drizzled with special soy sauce and sprinkled with sesame, every bite is pure Guangzhou flavor. Though the decor is simple, this place holds irreplaceable tasty memories for many locals.

3. Beef Offal

On Renmin Road, you might come across an uncle selling beef offal from a cart; his dish is a hidden gem on this street. The beef offal is stewed to tenderness with rich flavors, and paired with a special sauce, it smells heavenly. Although the location isn't fixed, if you run into him, it's definitely worth a try. This type of street food truly reflects the local food culture of Guangzhou.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
