Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Xi'an

Morning: After arriving in Xi'an, you can take public transportation or take a taxi to the hotel for check-in. It is recommended to choose a hotel near the Bell and Drum Tower or around the big wild goose pagoda, which is convenient and close to attractions.

Afternoon: After a short rest, you can go to [Xi'an City Wall] for a tour. The Xi'an City Wall is one of the largest and best-preserved Ancient City walls in China. You can choose to ride or stroll through the city walls and get a feel for the charm of this ancient city.

Evening: After checking into the hotel, you can wander around the nearby old streets and taste local specialties, such as Mutton steamed buns, cold skin, etc.

Day 2: Ancient City Culture and Buddhist Relics

Morning: Go to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to explore this thousand-year-old pagoda that carries a profound Buddhist culture. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is not only a famous pagoda building in the Tang Dynasty, but also one of the iconic attractions of Xi'an.

Afternoon: Visit the Shaanxi History Museum, where countless cultural relics and treasures are gathered, and each exhibit is a witness to history. Through the visit, you can immerse yourself in the development of ancient Chinese civilization.

Evening: You can choose to stay at a characteristic homestay near the city wall, and watch a wonderful performance of "Imitation Tang Music and Dance" to feel the unique charm of Tang Dynasty culture.

Day 3: The Art of Calligraphy and Nature

Morning: Go to Xi'an Forest of Steles Museum, which is the palace of calligraphy art, admire many ancient steles, epitaphs and stone carvings, and feel the profundity of Chinese calligraphy art.

Afternoon: Visit [Huaqing Palace] to explore the story of the ancient emperors leaving the palace, and enjoy the unique scenery of the garden and the ancient buildings. In addition, you can also soak in the hot springs here and relax.

Evening: Return to the city, stroll around Muslim Street, and taste a dazzling array of specialties such as meat buns, mutton skewers, etc.

Day 4: Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and Bell and Drum Tower

Morning: Drive to The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". Here, you can see the lifelike and neatly arranged terracotta figurines up close, and feel the majesty of the Great Qin Empire.

Afternoon: Return to the city and visit the Bell and Drum Tower. The Bell and Drum Tower stands in the center of the city, with the morning bell and dusk drum, which is not only the time-telling building of the ancient city, but also the witness of the historical changes of Xi'an. You can climb the bell tower or drum tower for a great view of the entire city.

Evening: Stroll through the Bell and Drum Tower Square, admire the ancient buildings illuminated by the lights, and experience the unique charm of the ancient city at night.

Day 5: In-depth tour of the ancient city of Xi'an

All day: Take an in-depth tour in the ancient city of Xi'an, visiting [Muslim Street], [Defu Lane], [Shuyuanmen Ancient Culture Street] and other places. You can walk along the roots of the city walls and feel the life and profound cultural heritage of the ancient city. In addition, you can also go to the [Chinese Tang Garden], which is a garden scenic spot with the theme of Tang culture, where you can enjoy the beautiful garden landscape and rich plant species.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
