1. From the airport to the city center, there are multiple options for you to choose from

  • Airport Express: Balancing Speed and Comfort

Advantages: Direct access to the city center, only 24 minutes, spacious and comfortable carriage, suitable for passengers carrying large luggage.

Ticket price: Adult one-way ticket is about HKD 100, which can be purchased in advance at the self-service ticket vending machine in the station or online.

Recommended route: Airport Station → Tsing Yi Station → Kowloon Station → Hong Kong Station, choose the drop off point according to the destination.

  • Bus: An Affordable Choice

Advantages: Affordable ticket prices, wide coverage, and multiple direct routes to densely populated hotel areas.

Recommended routes: A11 (Airport → North Point Ferry Terminal), A21 (Airport → Hung Hom Railway Station), ticket price is about HKD 40.

Tip: Octopus card can be used for payment. Please confirm the corresponding route to your destination before boarding.

  • Taxi: flexible but expensive

Advantage: 24-hour operation, suitable for passengers who arrive late at night or have a lot of luggage.

Cost: Approximately HKD 280 (including tunnel fee and luggage fee) from the airport to Tsim Sha Tsui.

Attention: Choose red taxis (operated in urban areas), while green taxis mainly serve the New Territories.


2. Shuttle between scenic spots, Octopus card is a magical tool

  • Octopus card: With one card in hand, worry free travel

Function: Can be used for subways, buses, ferries, convenience stores, etc., with automatic fare deduction and no need to queue for tickets.

Purchase and Recharge: Customers can purchase from the Airport Express customer service center and subway station ticket office, and recharge machines are available throughout Hong Kong.

Discounts: Some routes can enjoy discounts using Octopus cards, such as the Tung Chung Line of the subway.

  • Subway: Efficient Tour of Core Scenic Spots

Recommended route:

Hong Kong Island Line: Central (Taiping Peak Cable Car) → Wanchai (Golden Bauhinia Square) → Causeway Bay (Shopping Paradise).

Tsuen Wan Line: Tsim Sha Tsui (Avenue of Stars) → Mong Kok (Women's Street, Sneaker Street) → Sham Shui Po (Food Street).

Star Ferry: Only a few Hong Kong dollars, cross Victoria Harbour and enjoy the magnificent scenery on both sides.

Recommended route: Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier → Central Ferry Pier. Take the bus in the evening and enjoy the sunset and night view.


3. Travel planning, allowing time to be spent on the cutting edge

  • Classic one-day tour route

Morning: After arriving at the airport, take the airport express to Hong Kong Station, head to Central, and take the Victoria Peak Cable Car to overlook the beautiful scenery of Hong Kong.

Noon: After descending the mountain, take a stroll through Lan Kwai Fong and taste international cuisine.

Afternoon: Take the subway to Causeway Bay, shop and explore Times Square and Sogo Department Store.

Evening: Head to Tsim Sha Tsui, stroll along the seaside promenade, and enjoy the sunset over Victoria Harbour.

Evening: Take the Star Ferry to Central and experience the unique charm of a Night tour of Victoria Harbour.

  • Transportation suggestions for multi day tours

Disneyland: Take the MTR Tung Chung Line to Hin O Station, then transfer to the Disneyland Line without changing buses throughout the journey.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless.
