Is Late January a Good Time for a Leisurely Trip to Chengdu?
Chengdu is inherently a slow-paced city with many cultural attractions, and its seasonal requirements are not strict, so it's a great place to visit at any time. January is generally the coldest time in Chengdu, and since the city doesn’t have heating, it can feel damp and chilly, especially in the mornings and evenings or if it rains. It's advisable to dress warmly.

If you plan to visit places like Sanxingdui, the Sichuan Museum, or the Chengdu Museum, it’s safest to book tickets at least 2 days in advance. You can book tickets through their official websites, public accounts, or major travel platforms.The Dujiangyan Scenic Area will take up most of the day.
For the front mountain of Mount Qingcheng, around 3 hours are needed.
If you plan to hike the back mountain of Mount Qingcheng in full, you’ll need an entire day.Chengdu’s public transport system is very developed, so staying near a metro or bus station is very convenient. If you prefer staying near attractions, I recommend areas like People's Park, Tianfu Square, and Chunxi Road, which are central and offer easy access to attractions via metro or bus. They also provide convenient access to the airport and train stations.
Suggested Itinerary for Reference (choose based on personal preferences):
Chengdu (Sanxingdui) → Mount Qingcheng → Dujiangyan
Day 1: Arrive in Chengdu and check into your hotel. Afterward, you can visit the Du Fu Thatched Cottage, and if time allows, head to the Sichuan Museum and Qingyang Palace. In the evening, enjoy a Sichuan Opera performance at Shu Feng Ya Yun Sichuan Opera Theater. These attractions are all close to each other, so they form a nice line to explore.
Day 2: Take a direct shuttle from Chengdu to Sanxingdui, explore the Sanxingdui Museum, then return and visit Dongjiao Memory. In the evening, check out the Nine Eyes Bridge.
Day 3: Visit Kuanzhai Alley, People's Park, Chengdu Museum, and the Science and Technology Museum. You can also visit Tianfu Square, Chunxi Road, and Taikoo Li. This itinerary covers an entire day, as everything is along the same route.
Day 4: In the morning, visit the panda Base. In the afternoon, go to Wuhou Shrine, and in the evening, visit Jinli Ancient Street.
Day 5: Visit Wenshu Monastery in the morning, then head to Huanglongxi Ancient Town in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy the night view of The Chengdu Twin Towers and Jiaozi Park.
Day 6: Take bus 219 from Wuguiqiao Bus Station to Luodai Ancient Town, the first town of Hakka in the world. Explore Luodai Ancient Town, and then stay overnight in Chengdu.
Day 7: Take an early bus from Chengdu to Mount Qingcheng. Explore the front mountain of Qingcheng, then spend the night in Taian Ancient Town, which is near the back mountain of Qingcheng.
Day 8: Explore the back mountain of Mount Qingcheng, and in the evening, stay in Dujiangyan city. Enjoy the night view of Nanqiao Bridge and the "blue tears" phenomenon at Dujiangyan.
Day 9: Spend the day exploring the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, then take the intercity train back to Chengdu.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic!
Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale.
For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
