1. The Forbidden City: A Royal Secret Realm Spanning Six Hundred Years

Location: No. 4 Jingshan Front Street, Dongcheng District Duration: 6 hours (recommended to enter the park at 8am) Key points: As the residence of 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Forbidden City has become the world's largest wooden structure ancient building complex with a grand architectural complex of 720000 square meters. It is recommended to enter through the Meridian Gate and tour the three major halls (Taihe Hall, Zhonghe Hall, and Baohe Hall) along the central axis to experience the "ceremony of the emperor"; Then explore the palace life scenes of the Western Six Palaces (such as Yikun Palace and Chuxiu Palace), and finally climb up to the Wanchun Pavilion on Jingshan Mountain to overlook the panoramic view of the Forbidden City.

It is recommended to arrive at 18:00 and first take a photo of the "Most Beautiful Crossroads in Beijing" traffic night scene at the Tongying Center Observation Deck. 4. Summer Palace: Poetic Residence of Royal Gardens

Location: No. 19 Gongmenqian Street, Haidian District Duration: 5 hours (recommended to enter the park at 9am) Key points: As the "Summer Palace" built by Emperor Qianlong to celebrate his mother's birthday, it is based on Kunming Lake and Wanshou Mountain, with views of the peaks of Xishan Mountain. It is the pinnacle of classical Chinese gardens. 5. The Great Wall: a spine imprint spanning thousands of years

Plan A: BaDaling Great Wall Classic Check in

Location: Badaling Town, Yanqing District Duration: 6 hours (including round trip) Key points: As the most well preserved section of the Ming Great Wall, it is recommended to choose the northern route for hiking (from the fourth floor to the eighth floor) and challenge the "Hero Slope"; Alternatively, take the cable car to the south fourth floor and overlook the "T-shaped" railway spectacle. The Great Wall Museum in the scenic area houses precious cultural relics such as Qin Dynasty Great Wall bricks and Ming Dynasty iron cannons.

Plan B: Mutianyu Great Wall and Secret Exploration

Location: Bohai Town, Huairou District Duration: 5 hours (including round-trip travel) Key points: Known for the "Great Wall of China, Mutianyu stands out", it is recommended to take the cableway to Enemy Building 14 and hike to Enemy Building 20 (unopened section) to experience the vicissitudes of the original Great Wall. In the evening, you can visit Gubei Water Town at night, climb the Simatai Great Wall with lanterns, and see the starry sky and lights shining together.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal!
