Strolling through Hutongs: Experience the Charm of Old Beijing

The hutongs in Beijing are the historical context of the city and a microcosm of old Beijing life. Entering the alley, you will see mottled brick walls, carved wooden doors, and the leisurely old Beijing residents. Why not choose a less bustling alley and stroll slowly, feeling the tranquility and comfort. You can also walk into a quadrangle courtyard, taste a cup of authentic lidded tea, listen to the stories of old Beijing, and experience the unique Beijing flavor.

Strolling through ancient temples: seeking peace of mind

There are many ancient temples and monasteries in Beijing, which are not only treasures of Buddhist culture, but also great places to seek spiritual peace. For example, Yonghe Temple, a Tibetan Buddhist temple, is bustling with incense and a continuous stream of believers. Entering the Yonghe Palace, you will be infected by the solemn atmosphere, as if the whole world has quieted down. In addition to Yonghe Temple, there are also ancient temples worth visiting such as Fayuan Temple and Guangji Temple, each with its own characteristics, which can make you feel the depth and vastness of Buddhist culture.

The niche gameplay of popular attractions: a unique travel experience

Although popular attractions in Beijing, such as the forbidden city and Temple of Heaven, are crowded with people, as long as you search carefully, you can always discover some niche gameplay. For example, in the Forbidden City, you can choose a less popular tourist route, avoid crowds, and quietly appreciate those precious cultural relics and buildings. At The Temple of Heaven, you can choose to visit in the early morning or evening when there are fewer tourists, allowing you to better experience the tranquility and solemnity. In addition, you can also participate in some unique cultural activities, such as Night tours of the Forbidden City and sacrificial ceremonies at the Temple of Heaven, making your travel experience more colorful.

Beijing's Secret Realm: Exploring Unknown Surprises

There are still many secrets waiting for you to explore in Beijing. For example, the Wild Duck Lake Wetland Park located on the edge of the city has a beautiful environment, with bird songs and fragrant flowers, making it a paradise for bird watching enthusiasts. There is also Miyun Reservoir, the largest reservoir in Beijing, which not only has beautiful scenery but is also a great place for fishing enthusiasts. Although these secret realms are not well known, their beauty and charm remain undiminished. Why not take some time to explore these secret realms? I believe you will have unexpected gains.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
