Please help me. I always feel restless after returning from Wuzhen

A Tale of Two Cities in Jiangnan: Encountering a journey of taste buds and souls through ancient and modern times amidst the sound of oars in Wuzhen and the fragrance of tea in Hangzhou.

At five o'clock in the morning, I was awakened by the sound of oars in the west gate, and the sweet fragrance of Dingsheng Cake still lingered beside my pillow. However, my phone album was filled with the collision of Hangzhou Longjing and Wuzhen blue printed flower cloth - this dream of the Jiangnan Twin Cities Impression Field has not yet awakened, leaving my taste buds and soul in the ink painting.

9:00 AM on Day 1 | Cracking the "Water Town Password" at Wuzhen tea House

Pushing open the wooden window of "Qiaoli Bridge Teahouse" (user's hot search term: recommended for Wuzhen Teahouse), the arched stone bridge in the morning mist and its reflection in the water form a perfect circle. Holding a chrysanthemum tea worth 12 yuan, watching the rowing boat carrying a blue clothed boatwoman shattering the rosy glow of the river, I suddenly understand why Huang Lei always likes to sit by the water in "Like Water" - time here melts. After a cup, it seemed that it wasn't enough, so I went to the teahouse and ordered a cup of "smoked bean tea". The salty and fragrant smoked green beans in the coarse pottery bowl are accompanied by the fragrance of osmanthus, as if holding the entire autumn of Jiangnan in one's mouth.

3:00 PM on Day 1 | Time travel in Mao Dun's former residence

In front of the carved wooden window of the "Mao Dun Memorial Hall" (user hot search term: Wuzhen Celebrity Residence), I touched the yellowed manuscript and imagined how this literary giant listened to the sound of oars writing back then. At the corner, I met an old lady shaking a silk fan drying blue printed cloth. When she taught me to recognize the pattern of "magpies climbing plum blossoms", the indigo on the cloth suddenly came to life as the color of the sky.

Day 1 at 6:00 PM | The family of Zhen Shui eats the hundred year old sauce garden

The open-air dining table of "Xuchang Sauce Garden" (user's hot search term: Wuzhen specialty cuisine) faces the array of sauce jars. At the moment when the sunset pours soy sauce on the sauce duck, the air is filled with a intoxicating aroma of sauce. The 28 yuan soy sauce duck set meal was accompanied by three Baijiu, and then asked the shopkeeper for "three Baijiu ice cream". The mellow wine was cold, and the taste buds immediately set off fireworks. Watching the lanterns light up on the other side one after another, I suddenly understood what Mu Xin meant by "slow in the past" - that delicious food requires waiting for sunlight, wind, and time.

10:00 AM on Day 2 | Longjing Village Chasing Tea

In Longjing Village, Hangzhou (user hot search term: Hangzhou Longjing Tea Experience), I followed the tea farmer into the tea mountain. Fingertips are stained with the buds from morning dew, and the fragrance burst out when meeting the sun in the bamboo plaque is more addictive than any perfume. The iron pot of the tea stir fry master flies like a martial arts master, and when the first sip of the Dragon Well soaked in the Tiger Run spring slides into his throat, he finally understands why Emperor Qianlong visited Jiangnan six times - this refreshing touch can be remembered for a lifetime.

4:00 PM on Day 2 | Twilight Healing by the Canal

Sitting on the second floor of "Gongchen Bridge Teahouse" (user's hot search term: Hangzhou Canal Teahouse), watching the cargo ship carrying the sunset through the bridge opening. Ordering a pot of 38 yuan Nine Curve Red Plum Blossoms and pairing it with Dingsheng Cake, the silhouette of the Canal Museum gradually darkens. Suddenly, I understand the leisurely feeling of Bai Juyi's "Green Poplar Yin Li White Sands Embankment" - it turns out that the best medicine to cure homesickness is Jiangnan itself.

After coming back, I always hear the sound of coffee as oars, think of printed cloth when I see blue, and my heart beats faster when I smell the fragrance of tea - Wuzhen, you owe me an antidote.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

As a solo traveler from Canada, I was nervous about navigating China alone—but this 11-day tour was PERFECT! From hiking the Great Wall at sunrise (Day 3) to gasping at the Terracotta Army (Day 5), every day delivered ‘pinch-me’ moments. The real showstopper? Zhangjiajie’s Avatar Mountains (Day 7)! Our guide made the stone pillars come alive with stories. Massive thanks for handling all logistics—bullet train tickets, entry passes, car! And the 4-star hotels surprised me.

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
