Historical Overview
2009: Announced as a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and Shanghai Shendi Group.
2011: Construction began, with a focus on integrating Chinese aesthetics (e.g., the Enchanted Storybook Castle, the tallest Disney castle globally).
2016: Grand opening with six themed lands: Mickey Avenue, Gardens of Imagination, Fantasyland, Adventure Isle, Treasure Cove, and Tomorrowland.
2018: Expansion of Toy Story Land opened.
2023: Zootopia-themed land, the first of its kind worldwide, debuted, cementing the resort’s status as a global innovation hub.
Structural Layout
The resort is divided into six themed lands, each offering unique attractions, entertainment, and dining:
