We will drive about 70 kilometers to the Mutianyu section of the world-famous Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall is well-preserved and relatively unvisited, and it will surely live up to your expectations. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is one of the "longest Great Walls in China" and impresses visitors with its rich vegetation and magnificent natural scenery. 

You will take an easy cable car up to the Great Wall. Next you will climb up to the city tower overlooking the majestic Great Wall, which will surely make your stay unforgettable. After the Great Wall tour, we will take the cable car down the mountain.

Afterwards, we will return to Beijing, stopping on the way to visit the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube from the outside in the Olympic Village.

The Ming Tombs

Today we will visit the The Ming Tombs. This mausoleum is home to the tombs of the thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty of China and is one of the largest and best preserved royal tombs in the world. 

You can enjoy the exquisite architecture and unique layout of the Ming Tombs. 

Under the guidance of the tour guide, you will visit each tomb one by one and learn about the life and historical background of these emperors, as well as feel the splendor and decline of the Ming Dynasty.

Temple of Heaven--Hutongs--Yonghegong Temple

After Breakfast, we will visit the Temple of Heaven, a sacred site used in ancient times to worship the heavens and offer prayers for a bountiful harvest. Nowadays, it has become a lively place where locals perform traditional activities such as Tai Chi, dancing, kite flying and calligraphy. Stroll among the halls of the Temple of Heaven and feel the solemnity and mystery of ancient royalty.

Next, we will visit the Hutongs and take a rickshaw ride through Beijing's hutongs. These alleys, made up of courtyards, epitomize life in old Beijing. During lunch, you will learn to make and eat dumplings in the hutongs for an in-depth experience of the old Beijing way of life.

If you have enough time, you will continue to visit the Lama Temple(Yonghe Temple). This ancient temple is not only the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing, but also one of the best preserved historical treasures.

Reed Flute Cave - Elephant Trunk Hill - the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas - Jingjiang Prince's Mansion (Duxiu Peak)

Morning: You will then go to the next amazing attraction, the Reed Flute Cave. This is a majestic underground palace with breathtaking stalactites,  stalagmites, stalagmite shields and stone waterfalls of all shapes and  sizes.

Then you will visit Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin's landscape. This huge rocky mountain resembles a lifelike elephant drinking from the river. Within the embrace of the Elephant Trunk Hill, you will also find many historical relics such as exquisite stone carvings and serene Buddhist temples.

Next, we will come to the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas, which set three Guinness World Records: as the world's tallest copper tower, the tallest copper building, and the tallest tower under water.

We will start from the Sun Tower and take the elevator straight to the top of the towers, overlooking the lakes and mountains of Guilin; after that, we will go to the Moon Tower through the tunnel under the lake to admire the unique charm of its glazed body.

Afternoon: We will take you into the Jingjiang King's Mansion, which is known as the "Small Forbidden City in the South". This is one of the best-preserved Ming Dynasty royal residences in China.

Next, you can climb Duxiu Peak, the head of Guilin's mountains and the king of all mountains, where the earliest poem "Guilin's landscape is superior to the rest of the world" was carved on Duxiu Peak.

Mopan Mountain Pier - Li River - Yulong River - Moon Mountain

Morning: Starting from Mopan Mountain Pier, we will cruise down the Li River, which was named one of the world's 15 most beautiful rivers to visit by CNN, has become the only river in China to make the list with its unique charm. The duration of this tour will depend on the water level but is expected to be about 180 minutes. As the boat slowly moves forward, you will enjoy the beauty of the Li River, each view is like a beautiful painting.

You will continue to explore the Yulong River. You can choose to ride a bicycle through the countryside, or take a bamboo raft on the river. 

Afternoon: You can view the Moon Mountain from a distance. This amazing mountain is famous for its unique shape. When viewed from different angles, you can see the Moon Cave presenting different views such as a full moon, half moon and eyebrow moon.
