Yingshang Balihe

Historical Overview
Constructed in 1991, Balihe Scenic Area was designed to reflect China’s ancient hydraulic engineering and cultural philosophies. The park’s layout incorporates symbolic elements like the "Five Elements" and "Eight Trigrams," inspired by Confucian and Taoist traditions. Over three decades, it has evolved from a local reservoir into a cultural landmark, hosting international events such as the 2018 Anhui Tourism Conference. In 2013, it was designated a national 5A-level scenic spot, solidifying its status as a premier destination.

Structural Layout
The area is divided into three key zones:

1. Central Lake District: The heart of the park, featuring a 3,000-mu (200-hectare) lake with islands, bridges, and pavilions.
2. Cultural Theme Park: Replicas of iconic landmarks like the forbidden city’s Meridian Gate and The Great Wall, alongside local Huaihe River cultural exhibits.
3. Ecological Wetlands: A protected area with migratory bird habitats, reed marshes, and boardwalks for nature observation.
   Supporting structures include the 108-meter-long "Nine-Dragon Bridge," the 36-meter-high "Phoenix Tower," and the "West Lake Garden," modeled after Hangzhou’s famous lake.
