Badaling is more famous but extremely crowded, making it ideal for first-time visitors aiming to "check it off the list." Mutianyu, on the other hand, offers fewer crowds and stunning scenery with high vegetation coverage, making it a better choice for families with elderly members or children. At Mutianyu, there’s a cable car that takes you directly to Enemy Tower 14. From there, heading toward Enemy Tower 20 leads to the "Heroic Slope," which has a gentle incline, while walking toward Enemy Tower 6 leads to "Zhengguan Terrace," featuring steeper steps but fewer visitors. If physical stamina is a concern, the cable car combined with a toboggan ride (140 RMB per person) is an incredibly fun alternative!
