They’re complementary, not redundant! Sanxingdui (1200-300 BCE) is older, focusing on dramatic, large-scale bronze art (masks, sacred trees) used in grand rituals. Jinsha (1000-300 BCE) is later, with more jade, gold (like the “Sun God Bird” foil), and smaller, everyday artifacts—showing how Shu culture evolved. Sanxingdui feels “mystical” and ritualistic; Jinsha feels more “lived-in.” Many guests do both—they tell a full story of the ancient Shu.
