The Humble Administrator's Garden is not only one of the four major classical gardens in China, but also an outstanding representative of the classical gardens in Jiangnan, which is regarded as "the mother of all gardens under the sun". It was originally the residence of poet Lu Guimeng in the Tang Dynasty, and was later remodeled by successive generations, especially during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, when it was purchased by royal historian Wang Xianchen and converted into a private garden. The Humble Administrator's Garden has attracted countless tourists with its exquisite layout, rich landscape and deep cultural heritage.
