Chongqing is truly a city that takes me by surprise. One of the most unique aspects of the city is how the ground level isn’t always where you expect it to be—often, the first floor you see isn’t actually the ground floor! I could never quite figure out which floor was considered the "ground level," but it added to the city's charm.
A special thanks to my guide, Ayla, who was incredibly knowledgeable about Chongqing. She made the experience even more enriching, giving us a deeper insight into this city. I also had my first taste of hotpot here while it was a bit intense for me, it was definitely a memorable experience. I’m so glad I had the chance to experience its unique energy and culture.

I embarked on my first trip to China, choosing the picturesque Yunnan as my destination. Over six days, I visited Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang, each location more beautiful than the last. In Kunming, feeding the seagulls was a memorable experience. The sparkling waters of Erhai Lake in Dali, under a clear sky, made for a peaceful stroll by the shore. Lijiang Old Town had a unique tranquility to it, offering a perfect place to unwind. I’m also really grateful to my guide for recommending I download Alipay—this made payments so much easier, especially in areas where international cards aren't accepted. This Yunnan trip exceeded all my expectations, and I’ll cherish these beautiful memories forever.

In June 2024, I had the opportunity to visit Xi’an, the ‘Ancient Capital of Thirteen Dynasties,’ during a business trip, and I was in awe of its vibrant atmosphere. Although my two-day trip was short, every moment was filled with surprises. The food in Xi’an is unforgettable—meat sandwiches (roujiamo), authentic noodles, and hulatang made every meal a treat. The grandeur of the Terracotta Army was truly breathtaking, and I gained a deeper appreciation for this incredible feat, thanks to my guide’s thorough explanations. The Shaanxi History Museum, especially the exquisite porcelain, were equally impressive. The only regret was not having enough time to visit Mount Hua, but that just gives me a reason to return and climb to its peak next time!

In January 2025, I went to Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou, it was a stress-free and enjoyable experience. My guide, Vicky, was exceptional—she was patient and really took the time to plan the itinerary according to my preferences, making the whole trip smooth and worry-free. Jiuzhaigou’s natural beauty is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear waters, bright blue skies, and colorful forests reflecting in the lakes—truly breathtaking. The food in Chengdu, especially the hotpot, which was spicy, flavorful, and left me craving more. It was an unforgettable and amazing journey of China!
