As the mausoleum of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Nanjing Ming Tomb is an outstanding representative of ancient Chinese imperial mausoleum architecture, containing profound historical and cultural heritage.
1. Shen Dao:
It starts from the Sifang Castle, and the first half of the 800-meter-long Shinto stone carving has 12 pairs of 6 kinds of standing stone beasts, which are lions, hedgehogs, camels, elephants, unicorns, and horses, with 4 of each kind, standing and lying on two sides.
2. Zhuhong Gate:
It faces the Plum Blossom Mountain, and the three words "Ming Xiao Ling" are written on the forehead of the door, showing the majesty of the royal mausoleum.
3. Xiang palace:
Although the current hall was rebuilt in the twelfth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, it is much smaller than the original, but it can still be imagined from the portrait of Zhu Yuanzhang enshrined in the hall and the foundation of 64 stone pillars.
