About:

I’ve heard Jiuzhaigou is at high altitude (around 2,000–3,000m). I worry about altitude sickness.

What can I do to prevent it, and is there medical help available if needed?

Altitude sickness is possible, but rare if you take it easy! Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy meals/alcohol the first day, and move slowly—no running or jumping. We provide oxygen canisters in the vehicle just in case, and our guides are trained to spot symptoms (headaches, dizziness). There’s a small clinic in the valley and a hospital in nearby Zhangzha Town, so help is close by. Most visitors adjust quickly and enjoy the views without issues!
