Rainy days can actually bring surprises! When the clouds and mist swirl around, the peaks seem to float in a fairyland (like the "Enchanting Terrace" in Yuanjiajie). However, be sure to bring a raincoat (they sell them for 20 RMB per piece on the mountain)—umbrellas are practically useless in the mountains. If there’s a heavy downpour, the Tianmen Mountain cable car might suspend operations, and the Bailong Elevator in Wulingyuan could also face restrictions. We recommend checking the official scenic area announcements in advance and adjusting your itinerary flexibly.
