The Golden Summit (3,077m) is stunning on clear days! You’ll see the golden statue of Samantabhadra, plus—if lucky—waves of clouds rolling below (the "Sea of Clouds") and snow-capped Mount Gongga in the distance. Chances are best in early morning (we arrive by 9 AM) and autumn (September-November), when skies are clearest. Even if it’s cloudy, the mist adds a magical vibe to the temples.
