In the morning, follow Intotravelchina and you will come to the beautiful Lijiang Ancient Town. It is one of the four ancient cities in China. It was built in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty, and has a history of more than 800 years. As an important town on the Ancient Tea Horse Road, it is famous for its small bridges, flowing water, Naxi folk houses, and nightly music. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage in 1997. Strolling on the streets of Dayan Flower Lane, enter an intangible cultural heritage experience hall, make Dongba paper (Naxi papermaking technique for thousands of years) by yourself, and you can stamp Dongba seals or experience traditional blue dyeing techniques to make square towels or cloth bags.
After lunch (self-care), continue to visit the Mu Mansion Museum. Mu Mansion is the official residence of the Mu family chieftain of the Naxi ethnic group in Lijiang. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is known as the "Little Forbidden City in Northwest Yunnan". The architecture here is a fusion of Han, Naxi, and Tibetan, and is unique. The three styles of Han, Naxi, and Tibetan are integrated. In the evening, go to the Wangu Tower of Lion Mountain to overlook the entire ancient city, take pictures of the sunset, and the Lijiang Ancient City in the lights.
